Archive: Images from the Middle East: Gaza-Summer Rains 2006: Raji DeifAllah

Sixteen year-old Raji DeifAllah was playing soccer with his friends in the field near an agricultural college in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip when an Israeli airstrike aimed at what the IDF says were militants launching a Qassam rocket missed its target and struck the boys. Three of them were killed instantly.

Raji, the youngest of his family, hung on for three more days.
